We sell coarse washed sand 0/4, fine washed sand 0/1, pit sand, Tagus River sand and washed gravel. Every product comes in 1-tonne big bags and 25 kg sacks; coarse washed sand 0/4 is also sold in bulk, per tonne.
Most of our products carry CE marking and comply with the European standard EN 12620. Products without CE marking are clearly identified as such and are intended for non-structural applications.
Our washed sand (0/4 and 0/1) is washed and graded by particle size. Pit sand leaves our own pit in Seixal as extracted, and Tagus River sand comes naturally clean from the riverbed. All our sands carry CE marking under EN 12620, with a Declaration of Performance available on request; the gravel does not carry CE marking.
The washed sand is: washing removes fines, clay and organic matter, which is why it is the one for concrete, screeds and render. Pit sand is not washed and is meant for fills, bedding layers and non-structural mortars.
We deliver throughout the Lisbon and Setúbal region. For locations further away, contact us to check availability and terms.
Yes. We deliver on site from 5 tonnes (for example, 5 big bags or 200 sacks of 25 kg) across the Lisbon and Setúbal region. Outside this region, delivery is available on request, also from 5 tonnes. 25 kg sacks count by weight: 40 sacks are 1 tonne. Below this minimum there is no transport, but you can still order: the material is collected at our sand pit, Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 17:00.
Standard delivery is 24 to 48 hours after the order is confirmed, for loads from 5 t. For urgent orders, contact us to check same-day availability.
Transport is charged per kilometre, from our base in Seixal to the site, and quoted for each job; there is no fixed price per area. As it depends on factors such as the price of diesel, the amount can change from one month to the next. Delivery is from 5 t. Request a quote through our form or by phone.
Yes. Collection is available at our site in Seixal, Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 17:00. We recommend calling ahead to make sure the material is ready.
Site deliveries are made on working days, from 06:00 to 17:00. As a rule, there are no deliveries at weekends.
The fleet includes a 4-axle semi-trailer and a crane truck. There are no minimum access dimensions: the site only needs to let the truck reach it and unload safely, within each municipality's loading and unloading rules. Big bags can be set down inside or outside the site. The crane truck unloads loads of up to 5 big bags; above that, unloading is the customer's responsibility and requires their own equipment (for example, a forklift or a crane on site). Give the access conditions and the unloading point in your request.
Prices depend on the product, the format (big bag, sack or bulk) and the quantity. All prices shown exclude VAT. For a specific quote, use our online form.
Yes, we offer special terms for large-volume purchases. Contact us to negotiate prices and payment terms.
We accept cash, Multibanco (Portuguese debit card), bank transfer and cheque. Payment terms are set when the order is placed.
New customers may be asked to pay in advance or on delivery. Regular customers can be given credit terms after assessment.
For screeds we recommend coarse washed sand 0/4 with CE marking. This particle size gives good strength and workability. Use roughly 1:3 to 1:4 (cement:sand).
For interior and exterior render, use fine washed sand 0/1. It gives a smooth, even finish. A typical mix is 1:5 to 1:6 (cement:sand).
Sand without CE marking can be used in non-structural applications such as fill, gardens and other work where certification is not required. For structural concrete, CE marking is mandatory.
For a 5 cm screed, allow roughly 80 to 90 kg of sand per m². For specific calculations, see our blog or contact us for advice.

Yes, you can change or cancel an order up to 24 hours before the scheduled delivery. Contact us as soon as possible.
If you find any problem with the material delivered, contact us immediately. We will assess the situation and replace the material or resolve the problem.
Sand that has been delivered cannot be returned. The pallet can be returned, provided it is intact.
